In het groen flesje zit een pilskleurige pilsener met wit schuim. Het ruikt en smaakt naar pils. Het etiket toont een oude fabriek (brouwerij?) en de tekst 'Oryginalna receptura'.

@TheNige666 1 jaar geleden The Namysłów Brewery is one of the oldest in Poland, with a near 700-year tradition of brewing beer. The first mention of its existence appeared in the 14th century. It was on April 30th in 1321 that Konrad I (the Duke of Oleśnica and Namysłów) signed a document mentioning the 'princely malt and brewhouse' in Namysłów. However, it wasn't until 1536 that the first brewery was established at the actual castle in Namysłów. Since 1999, the Gostomski family, (through an American holding company) have owned the company. Under the name of Ryan Namysłów Brewery the brewery then commenced on a complete modernisation programme, which also included major changes to marketing. As a result the brewery gained more exposure in the media and in retail outlets. Annual production is approximately 1,000,000 hl. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_k8LhyKmFc)
Taste certainly has honey elements. And the German style hops have a prominent bitter punch. I have had this before and sometimes it seems too sweet, and other times the bitterness dominates the sweetness. Maybe it depnds on the bottle/can, or my tastebud's mood, I'm not sure. This tastes fairly well balanced, though a little on the sweet side. The honey flavour is fairly prominent. Do I like it? It's definitely not smooth like most Czech and German pilsners...it's more yeastie and funky, kind of like a Zubr. Mouth feel is fairly thin but with multiple different flavours that swirl around the tongue. Many might find this too bitter, and some such as me, find the honey flavour a bit too strong. Though overall, the hops balances out the sweetness well, and the contrast between them, creates a really interesting flavour and experience. One of the best commercial Polish pilsners for sure, probably the best. (https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2438/480328/)
The flavor is sweet, white bread crust, honey, and some grassy bitterness. Namysłów Pils has a medium body and a crisp finish. RJT Mar 30, 2023 (https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2438/480328/)
Honing?

(https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namys%C5%82%C3%B3w)
Namysłów (pronounced NAMI-swoof [naˈmɨswuf] ⓘ, German: Namslau) is a historic town in southern Poland, within Opole Voivodeship. Located along the Widawa River, it is the capital of Namysłów County.... The town began to develop during the 13th century, but was destroyed in 1241 during the first Mongol invasion of Poland. It was refounded by Polish Duke Bolesław II the Bald in 1249. During the medieval Ostsiedlung it was colonized by Germans, who used the Germanized name Namslau. According to German linguist Heinrich Adamy the town's name is derived from the Polish name namysł, which means "thinking".[2] According to another theory, the name of the city comes from the old Polish name Namysł.[3] In medieval manuscripts and documents such as the Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis it appeared under the Latinized name Namislavia. Located within the fragmented Kingdom of Poland, until 1294 it was part of the Duchy of Wrocław, then the Duchy of Głogów, in years 1312–23 it was briefly the seat of the Duchy of Namysłów, then it was part of the Duchy of Brzeg until 1338, then the revamped Duchy of Namysłów again until 1341, and afterwards it came directly under the rule of King Casimir III of Poland until 1348. A castle, first documented in 1312, was a residence of Casimir III in 1341. The Treaty of Namysłów, in which Casimir renounced his claims to Silesia to King Charles IV of Bohemia, was signed in the town in 1348. The town was a center of brewing[3] and clothmaking.... Namysłów was briefly an independent city during the 14th century and was enriched by the trade route from Wrocław to Kraków, especially with linen. The town was unsuccessfully besieged by Hussites in 1428. A privileged rifleman's guild was established in the town in 1434. Besides Wrocław, it was the only Silesian town which refused to pay homage to King Ladislaus the Posthumous in 1453. It passed to the Kingdom of Hungary in 1469 and back to the Bohemian Crown in 1490, ruled by the Jagiellonian dynasty until 1526, and by the House of Habsburg afterwards becoming part of the Habsburg monarchy of Austria.... In 1703 Leopold I, granted the castle to the Teutonic Knights, who subsequently created a commandery. As Namslau, the town passed to the Kingdom of Prussia in the 1742 Treaty of Breslau (Wrocław). During the Seven Years' War, it was occupied by Austrian and Russian troops. The town was occupied by French troops from 1806–07 during the Napoleonic Wars; the castle was secularized in 1810. Namslau became part of the new Prussian Province of Silesia in 1815 and was administered within Kreis Namslau, Regierungsbezirk Breslau. The town became part of the German Empire in 1871 during the unification of Germany..... During World War II, Nazi Germany erected a subcamp of Gross-Rosen concentration camp near the town. During the war, the town was the local center of the Polish underground resistance movement and the Home Army operated there. On 21 January 1945 the town was conquered by the Red Army, leaving most of the buildings destroyed. In April it came under Polish administration and after the war was finally reintegrated with Poland, its historic Polish name was restored. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namys%C5%82%C3%B3w)
One of the most well-known companies in the town was Brauerei Haselbach. In 1862 the brewer August Haselbach acquired the castle brewery, built in 1538; he purchased the castle in 1895. The industrial brewery was used as the model for other Haselbach breweries throughout Germany. ... The Namysłów Brewery (Browar Namysłów) is located in the town. Namysłów Castle - a castle located in Namysłów, Poland. The castle is raised on a mound, built from brick in an irregular rectangular shape. The castle is located in the centre of town beside the brewery.[1]... The first reliable document suggests the castle was built, from wood, in 1360. The order to build the castle was given by King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor, Charles IV, in the location of a former gord of the Dukes of Oleśnica. In 1533, the castle was transferred to the authorities of the city of Wrocław. Soon after the castle's courtyard was extended with additional housing units. In the seventeenth and eighteenth-century, the castle underwent further reconstruction, namely after the fire in 1658 and in 1741 after the castle was plundered by Prussia troops during the First Silesian War.[2] In the late-nineteenth century, the castle became property of the Haselbach family who founded the Namysłów/Namslau Brewery. Presently, the castle remains property of the town brewery.[3][4] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namys%C5%82%C3%B3w_Castle)
The first mention of the castle, probably wooden, dates back to 1312. Around 1360, it was transformed into a brick foundation. Until the sixteenth century, it was a royal property, with a small break at the beginning of the 15th century, when Namysłów for some time belonged to the so-called a prince’s union, created to defend common Silesian interests. In 1439 a settlement was concluded in castle between candidates for the Czech throne: prince Kazimierz Jagiellon , and Albrecht Habsburg. In 1533, it was pledged to the city council, which made its renaissance reconstruction. In the 17th and 18th centuries further construction works were carried out, especially after a fire in 1658 and destructions caused by the Prussian army in 1711. In 1830, the castle became the private property of the German brewer Augustyn Haselbach, whose brewery under the changed name, is still the owner of the castle.
